Another Kind Of Word Cup Challenge

With the FIFA World Cup only days ahead, i'd like to have a quick look at the linguistic challenge the organisers had to face: its official tagline does not translate that easily (at least not into the languages i can reasonably confidently judge upon):
I am glad that the international audience is not exposed to that rather pretentious notion of Germany aching to be everybody's friend (again). In the context of alleged no-go zones for people of colour and a debate on the deployment of military forces for security, trying hard to get that notion across would have been particularly embarrassing, wouldn't it?
